My future machine

I find a bit disturbing when my pc starts going slower. It is not a softwares maters, but it is a hardware thingy. The last time I check running PC using Athlon XP Burton 2.0 GHz and 512MB DDr333 is fast enough when you mix up with GeForce FX 5200. Quake 3, Medal of Honor or whatever games you say it in the last 2 years ago are good enough to play with my pc. I just installed my new game - Medal of Honor Pacific Assult ( ahaks..stlill got time for gaming when the exam hell week is coming soon aa...). The game runs not smoothly as I expect. The graphics card hungry a bit more RAM atleast 256MB and definately, the processer need as fast as F1 car.

Hmm...usually if I run the game in 1152 x 768 pixel everything should be fine. But this game is a vice versa. I had tu slow down my graphic card's performance into 1024 pixel and the game is just a so-so good. I hate to adjust it untill 800x600 but I had to. The game run smoothly and guess what, it had to sacrifice the graphics quality. If you are gamer, you will understand the important of graphic performance.

So, my mind just start to think to buy a new pc. perhap it is the best way for me. When the times come sooner, the best part you buy for your pc hardware in 2 years ago is out-dated.

So, what the use of my all time fave hardware where I always keep in my list. I just check a few website to determine what is the best hardware for my new pc ( hopefully).

Well, ladies and gentleman, tight up your seats and here we are:

DFI LanParty NF4 SLI-DR

This mobo (motherboard) is one of the best mobo ever made. If you heard about ASUS, MSI or Abit, this mobo is built for those who hungry an extra performance a.k.a overclocking and stability. Popular among overclockers and LanParty-ing, this mobo suits best for me. I had seen this mobo used by alot of my friends. And all of them come out with a positive comments and give a bravo for this mobo. The yellow color glows in the dark and of course it is cosmetic value they put in in this mobo. The world record for overclocking which they use AMD Athlon64 platform sits in this type of mobos. Yes DFI mobos. Not ASUS, not MSI, not Abit or even Gigabyte mobo. They overclock the Athlon64 into 6.7 GHz ! Guess what, just a simple switch, using some BIOS adjustment, the overclock AMD processor is ready to fit with this baby. Go and search this baby in conventional PC shop, trust me you won't find it. The only one way and one shop you can find - Low Yat Plaza. Unfortunately this is a AMD based processor baby that you can only fit with. If you are the Intel die-hard fans processor, sorry guys, just forget it. But luckily DFi also biult for those who want an Intel platform. You no need to buy the PCI stuff -

PoweColor Radeon X1900XT

Did I mention about changing from nVidia platform to ATI? Well, if no, this is will be the statement. Since a couple of years, studying about nVidia and ATI, it seems that ATI had been gone trough a lot of everything comparing to nVidia. Well, maybe some people are not agree with me but it is only my personal perception and recommendation. This baby card it the most powerful card aver built. Built from ATI X1900XT GPU ( Grpahic Proceessor Unit), this evil is the leader among the GPU model in the world market. Estimating the price between RM2500-RM3000, you can see why this is the most powerful and expensive for the destop pc. Worth to buy and worth to have it. Built on the referrence card that provide from ATI, this card used red PCB. And of course a large and heavy heatsink plus with a high speed noisy fan are the little lack for this card.

The red devil used a 512MB of GDDR. Not to mention, it used a 256-bit of memory processing. Yes, baby, a 256-bit of memory. The conventional memory is a 128 bit. As usual, this is a PCI express card. Not and old AGP card like mine.

AMD Athlon64 X2

Again, it is still an AMD processor. For the 5 years of using this processor, AMD is the best processor and suites me best in my life. I'm a fan of AMD processor. This beast is the one of the most powerful processor ever built. Forget while about Intel. Sto saying that Intel is the best. Since the last of AMD K6 processor (AMD K6 is a rival to the Intel Pentium 3), AMD K6 is among of the worst processer ever built. Heat problem, unstablility, not fast , etc. AMD put themself into a high ranks again and get back their prode when they intruduced an Athlon processor which a rival for the Pentium 4 on that time. Since AMD Athlon had been introduced they had gain respect and a lot of consumers had change their product into AMD.

This beast is a rival to the Intel Pentium Dual core Processor. And this baby to is a dual core and 64 bit processor. Meaning? It is a dual wafer processor which built in one single chip. Assuming that you use a 2 processors in a pc. Moreover it is a 64-bit processing- diferent from your and my Athlon XP and Pentium 4 (32-bit). It is acctually a high-end of a desktop pc processor available today. Price? Between Rm2000-Rm3000. ;-)

Corsair XMS2 Twin2X DDR2 Memory

Matched pairs for dual channel motherboards. TwinX modules are tested in pairs, in DDR2 dual channel motherboards, at very aggressive latency settings for optimum performance and compatibility. RAM - 1Gb of RAM which is 2 X 512 MB.

Thermaltake V1000 High Tower Casing

If you have finest hardware, I'm sure that you also need a finest casing. Imagine that you drive a sexy Ferrari F40 with a fastest engine ever build. My pc will suites a well-known casing manufacturer. From Thermaltake. This model has a multi screen sensor just about the panel bay. Nothing to tell much about this casing coz I just saw it last week.
