a rough trades

It is a quite frustating coz I didn't answer well in my last Wednesday exam paper. Geezz....I feel so teribble and it keeps running in my head untill today. The question is 4 out of 6, but I only manage to answer it atleast 2 and half of the questions. At least, if I can answer 3 out of 4 it is a really big tickets for me for not takin the supplementary exam.

Well, 2 done, 2 to go. Hopefully the next papers will come out with a flying colors. Yeahh..hopefully.

Oh ya I forgot. The last 4 days ago is a Teacher's Day aite? Well, hopefully I'm not too late to wish to all the teachers Happy Teacher's Day !!! Including to my bro. He will become a biology teacher in next 2 years. when he graduate at University Pendidikan Sultan Idris.

I'm still remember for those who thought me when I was in primary school till the last day I was in secondary school. Cikgu Asmah, Cikgu Nazir, Cikgu Gan, and my fave teacher is Cikgu Lai. She is my chemistry teacher. To be honest, she was the one who turned me from chemistry hater to the 'I am the fam of a chemistry' !!

I went to T.I (Technical Institute) when I was form 4. Taking civil engineering courses. I had no idea how worst the chemistry it is. And one of the reason I went to T.I becoause I hate biology. Sorry guys..I know that you won't agree with me but I have to admit it. ;-)

My experience in chemistry subject started when I was in standard 5. My mom was a senior lab assistant on that time. Everytime when there was a school holiday, I used to follow my mom to school. Activities? Playing with those some chemistry toys. Microscope, spatula, tabung uji and some un-dangerous chemical that my mom teach me. My first experiment - how to make a soap with a palm oil. Trust me, it was very sucessful. My mom used to teach me. I can still remember I burnt my hand during the experiment becoz I didn't took serious about some' do and don't' thingy.

When I was form 4, my mood and my interest studying chemistry is quite low. I used to sleep in the class when there is no experiment or I just do nothing when there is a lab session.

Miss Lai, always pushing me that I need to study chemistry. And one day, when we attend her lab, she made a quiz. The question was so simple. What is a chemical bonding and how the chemical bonding happens? A question that I never heard becoz I knew that it was a Form 5 silibus and she gave us 2 days to find it.

I went home, and I asked my mom. She answered the question and I was soo happy coz I knew it was a right answer. The next 2 days, my teacher promised to give us a present if we can answered. Everybody tried to answered but everyone cannot come out with a clear answer. I was too afraid to asnwer. I just keep quite and suddently she ask me.

"Fauzi, why don't you try to answer. I didn't see you talk since you come in my class."

I was soo nervous and I was really scared. I just tell her just like my mom said and theacer said that is the right answer.

"See..did I told you that you can study chemistry?"

She gave me a big paper board. A really big one. I opened it. It was a big periodic table. I went home and I told my mom everything. She thought me how to used it and I found that it was too easy and interesting.

From that moment, I changed my perception about chemistry. Just like she said, chemistry is soo powerful. Physics is about calculation, but chemistry is about desicion and always predictale.

I may not be a pious scholar but there are certain values she taught me that I hold on till now.

I am still contact my teacher. For a 10 years teaching chemistry, she is now at USM. Taking Ph.D in polymer chemistery and she is a reasearch officer.

To be honest, I don't like to be a teacher. Never planned so far and never plan for my future carier. Why ? Because teacher is a big responsibility to your own nations and student and I knew I can't be a enthusiastic teacher just like them. I'm afraind to take that responsibility in my life. I rather be an engineer or a businessman but never be a teacher. Coz the engineer is the engineer. But the teachers create the engineer. The teachers who teach you maths, physic and economics. A teacher is the mot respectable job that I put it in my mind. I am always admit that. And even it is not a high salary job but just think how much pahala they got?
